I start pureeds next week for 2 weeks. I'm looking for any good pureed recipes. I'm not interested in baby food.

I've got fat free refried Beans and I plan to blend that with salsa and then put in microwave with chedder cheese and to top with tblsp of plan greek yogurt. I'm thinking of blending some of my favorite Soups, but for some reason we're not allowed anything with corn so it's been hard to find soups without corn in them.

Does anyone have any good recipes they used?

I'm on puréed for another week. I love steamed squash! Fat free refrained brand w skim mozerella cheese & a dab of light sour cream is delicious! Cottage cheese w fruit. I put my fruit in the blender. Smashed banana! chicken salad, ur own super soft chicken or the one that comes in a can w a lil light mayo! Or soft scrambled egg w light mayo for a egg salad. Super good! My veggies I steam n just chew forever. I try to stay away from maybe but my dietician recommended it. :-)

There's a recipe section on the forum with a few puréed recipes. My fav was the ricotta bake. Ricotta mixed with mozz and an egg topped with marinara. Really good except I learned I had a lactose intolerance that week. :(. I also like egg salad, boiled an egg mixed with light mayo, mustard and dill. Aweeeesome!

I use Fage 0% Greek yogurt - it's perfect for whatever I want, whether adding spices for a savory taste or some fruit for a sweeter taste!

I scramble eggs with 1TBS low fat sour cream mixed in instead of milk and it makes eggs soft and really tasty. I also make tuna a little can with 1/4 avacado mashed and pressed or powdered

garlic which sounds weird but is yummy:)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
