debs1228 15 Posted November 26, 2012 Ok so i just saw a thread about christmas goal Weights and at first i got really excited and put a weightloss goal of 30lbs.... Now the thing i looked up my calendar this morning to organise my christmas shopping dates and i realised christmas is a month away!!!! I realise this sleeve now makes me look at weightloss more like a magic wand but it isnt its more of a tool...now the question I want to ask it are we all setting up ourselves for failure?? I saw many people putting up goal weights of 40lbs!!! And am likr what!!! Now i started my journey on sept 24 and thus far am about 2mths 2weeks out and i have lost 56lbs which is great i still have another 108lbs to reach my goal weight... But no being a negative person but i dont think am suddenly going to loose 30lbs by christmas or new year but i know its possible in the next two months.... I know everyones body is diffrent... But everyone setting goals means they or we all have a game plan... Be it excercise, increasing Water intake.... Doing the 5 day sleeve test by miss diva... Whatever that game plan is would you like to share... So by christmas even if we havent exactly achieved our goals we are somewhere near there....
lollyfidy1965 402 Posted November 26, 2012 I plan to keep doing everything I've been doing for the past 5 months....make the right food choices, eat between 650 and 700 calories/day, keep my carbs below 30 grams/day, eat at least 85 grams of protein/day, and burn 1400-1600 calories/day at the gym...at least 6 days/week. Pretty simple.
Fiddleman 4,376 Posted November 26, 2012 30 lb might be a bit of a stretch goal for you considering that you are almost two months out. Most people find their biggest losses range from 20 to 50 in the first month and less in the second month. By the third month, most average between 10 and 15. That was certainly the case for me. Even if you live in the gym, it would be hard to convince your body to drop more than the 10-15 because it is already working very hard not to stall with the low calorie intakes. This is just my opinion and others might think differently. I am going to shoot for about 15 lb by Christmas as an optimistic goal, but in reality my losses have been closer to 10-12 in the last couple of months. you need to factor in the week+ long stalls that are bound to happen. Now to answer your question. I am going to continue to eat between 600 and 900 calories a day, mostly Proteins. I will have some vegetables as there is room. I will probably work out with cardio for about 40 min for 5 days a week and lift for 3 days a week. I will also take my dog out for 1 hour walks daily as the weather permits. Hope this helps! 1 amykins reacted to this
