suzthebrit 146 Posted November 26, 2012 Ok, so I'm 17 days post-op and I feel like I'm pregnant (and there is no chance I am!) I wake up every morning with a feeling like something is stuck in my throat, and I feel so nauseaous. The first thing I do when I wake up is take my PPI with a sip of Water and every morning I think it's coming back up! Does anybody have any advice? Maybe I need to sleep in a recliner for a while? Jazzieperfections 2 Posted November 26, 2012 well i use to do that too. I had a nausea medicine that was prescribe to me. As time went by i found out that I woke up like that because of my sinus. So, i started taking my allergy medicine too.
Jazzieperfections 2 Posted November 26, 2012 waking up feeling like something was in my throat didn't stop until I reached my one year anniversary. I thought that feeling was never going to go away, but it does. I stay nausea for about two months only because i had sinus drained , but i only took the nausea medicine for three weeks. Once i realize it was my sinus, my doctor gave me the OK to start my sinus medicine again and it helped.
Jazzieperfections 2 Posted November 26, 2012 you also have to give yourself time when you drink your fluids because it will come back up if your stomach is nausea. So try to wait two hour later then go to bed or lay down.
bubles089 35 Posted November 26, 2012 I am 3 months post op and still get that some times. It happens really bad if I eat close to bed time or if I am a little dehydrated. When I was fresh post op I would wake up a few times in the night and drink some.
