Threetimesacharm 1,400 Posted November 26, 2012 I cook all my meats in my crockpot so they are very soft. Have you tried ground chicken, turkey. You can do anything with these meats. How about fish, since surgery I absolutely love fish and horseradish sauce!! Can you imagine. How about the morningstar or boca products? I have tried a couple of these and they are delicious. I also roast veggies in the oven which makes them soft: zucchini, green Beans, red pepper, cauliflower the list can go on.
geno5150 168 Posted November 26, 2012 With meats, I have found that I just need to eat less of some of them and spread it out over 5-6 meals a day.
CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted November 26, 2012 I think it is very normal for good to not taste good at the stage you are at. I didn't care for much of anything, which sorta taught me to eat for sustinance, not pleasure. I personally tolerated meats fine, but small portions, eaten fairly slowly. Try shrimp, sandwich meat and some of those kind of things if pork or beef feels too heavy. Try greek yogurt, try new things. And then, try them again a few months later as my tastes evolved several times. Think of food as your fuel, and just get the highest quality that you can.
