Webchickadee 716 Posted November 25, 2012 I am slow looser so I am loosing around 15 lbs per month. check my signature for details. 15 lbs per month is NOT slow! Take a look at my signature......over time, I would LOVE to be losing 15 per month on average! Everyone is different. Honestly, it doesn't matter how fast you're losing, as long as you stay on track and losing weight over time. There will be stalls, count on it!, But over time, you will get to goal! Keep the faith and you'll be successful! 3 Trcyprkr70, Banned member and Lisa's Hope reacted to this

CoCo41 54 Posted November 25, 2012 I agree everyone is different. Don't concentrate on the weight loss but concentrate on getting your Protein and fluids in. And whatever you do walk, walk, and walk some more.

aliandrews 98 Posted November 25, 2012 I lost 21 lbs my first month and then lost about 8 lbs a month thereafter. I am still losing after 11 months. It's about 3-4 lbs a month. I have lost a total of 95 lbs.
Lisa's Hope 421 Posted November 25, 2012 I'm six months out and I've lost 85 pounds. The first few months the weight comes off really fast then it tapers off. Doesn't come off as well the further out you are. I'mhappy with my loss. I know everyone is different. I have to say I agree with the others here. Fifteen pounds a month is not slow but I see you are only two months out. It will probably slow some the further out you are.
RickM 1,752 Posted November 25, 2012 The first couple of months things the weight usually comes off fairly quickly and then slows down to a more steady pace, with maybe a few stalls along the way. I was down about 32 the first month, 15 lb each of the next two months and then 10 lb per month thereafter until goal (a total of 105 lb lost). Any weight loss from the quicky pre-op diets (1-2 weeks or less) that some docs impose should usually be counted in that first month's loss since physiologically the rapid weight loss starts when you start the serious weight loss effort and experience a major caloric deficiency, and not just at the date of surgery. 1 Lisa's Hope reacted to this

shabbychicprincess 19 Posted November 25, 2012 Just wondering what to expect far as weight loss. This question is for all of you Post Op followers. How much weight did you drop in the first few months? I'm three weeks out , starting weight was 363 now I'm at 304 . It feels like its coming off slowly but that's the psychological part of it . I have a fear of not loosing anymore or my scales being wrong . Lol
