I just lost my job on Friday after being with them for 20 years. I will lose my insurance at the end of February. I just have a stress test and one more NUT appt before my doctor sends in my info for approval. I'm not sure if I should try to get a job now in earnest and then have to explain in a couple months why I need time off or should I stay on unemployment until after my surgery (if I can get it scheduled by the end of February. Oh what to do... Also losing my motivation.

This is definitely a challenge. I have no advice for you on the job timing, but want to encourage you to stay with the program. It is well worth it.

Well I was on leave after I had only worked at my job for a month. Every company is different but I only work part-time with no benefits. The thing with me is I was going to have the surgery come hell or high water....I dont have any regrets just wish I was smaller but I am happy with my 54 lbs weight loss after 4 months. I am now in my second stall. Good luck

I actually faced the same dilemma. I went ahead and had my surgery while unemployed. I figured that I would recover better, figure this whole thing out, loose some weight, feel more comfortable in my skin, and then I will look for something else. So even though I was going through the process I was still looking for work in my profession.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
