Back On The Soup :(

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I am 5 weeks out now and I still cannot stomach all the foods on my diet. I am on soft foods now and each time I do attempt eating I get pain and full so quickly. So , I took decision to go back onto puree and Soups again. Hopefully things will improve. Anyone else had to do this? Thanks Simon

It could be what you ate too. Try different things. Chew thoroughly and slowly. Take very small bites. You shouldn't be eating more than 4oz at a time and that really isnt alot. Good Luck!

Take you time! Everyone is different don't worry. I'm about to be 6months out, and to be honest, Soups and soft foods are still a go to comfortable food to eat. And because its mostly liquid, it seems like your eating more lol! Seriously though, don't rush yourself. When I look back on it, it seemed like such a rush to eat normal foods, when really, it isn't! Don't push yourself, take your time and the results will come.

I've tried the Unjury chicken broth and hated it. Love their Protein Shakes though.

So true. I just had my three month post-op at nearly four months out and my doc said my Protein was a little low and I should drink more shakes. Its like I eat soft foods because its more tolerable. I guess I could also go back to using the food processor for meat.
