I was 289 at first Bariatric appt.

I was 279 at surgery

I am 215 now

Was sleeved 1-9-13

I've lost 74 pounds

I do not exercise much because I'm having surgery for a parathyroid tumor

in two weeks and I've been really fatigued just doing regular life stuff.

After surgery they say I will not be fatigued. I am really hoping so because I want to

walk everyday.

I cut my hair and people say I look totally different. I'm also losing a lot of hair that is why I cut my hair.It looks fuller.

When I get my new PC I'll post pictures.

I've been battling carbs and they win most of the time. I need to restart because I can do a lot better.

The sleeve helps me feel full quickly with Proteins and eat a lot less carbs then I used to. It is a great tool

I love the sleeve.

Whoa today I am 210!! 79 pounds down!! After a month stall it's coming off quick again. Never get too bummed you never know what your body will do!

I was sleeved jan 9 and am down 95lbs. Can't wait to be able to say I've lost 100! My 6 mo appt is July 12, so that's my goal for now. Haven't really settled on a weight goal. Just going with the flow. Happy every time I can go down another clothing size. Loving my sleeve still.

My surgery was 1-20-13. I've lost 70 pounds but have been stuck at this weight for two months. Has anyone gone back to just liquids for awhile and has it worked?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
