CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted November 23, 2012 I enjoyed the day, enjoyed the company, enjoyed some wine and small quantities of really great food. Upped my exercise and decreased food the days before Thanksgiving to sorta balance it all out. I theorize that is what non obese people do and dang if it didn't work! Woke up and had lost another portion of a pound.... so, I have now met my November challenged weight loss goal (although I can't find that thread!!!) the day after thanks giving. That is a scale victory that I did not expect! 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
kyllfalcon 768 Posted November 23, 2012 Yay for you! I did not do anything special such as eat lighter before or after, and I did nibble a little here and there as I cooked, and I still lost a portion of a pound! Truthfully, I used to eat half the pecans that weren't used. This time, I only ate three, that was all I wanted! I ate what I wanted during the main meal, I ate dessert, I ate leftovers. I had my dinner last Sunday, long story, so I've had almost a week to see results, good or bad, and so far so good! This sleeve thing is great, no? 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
Sissy Kay 39 Posted November 23, 2012 What are you doing, CowGirl Jane? Are you trying to confuse the rest of us by EATING SENSIBLY??? Being silly, of course. That's a truly wonderful strategy you laid out: you planned ahead for a fun day with loved ones & friends where you could also enjoy your food in moderation! That is definitely a great way to be and I hope I will be able to incorporate that very same strategy in the very near future! (My sleeve surgery is in only 10 more days!) Note to self: Always, ALWAYS plan what you're going to eat for the week ahead. That way, you can plan around special treat-times. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this

JenC 90 Posted November 24, 2012 What I was especially thankful for yesterday...My Sleeve!!! I chose to have small tastes of all the wonderful things offered that I love...left behind the things that weren't favorites or just fillers and left the table feeling satisfied, empowered and comfortable. While almost everyone else had that "I'm so full, need a nap and to unbutton their pants feeling"... I felt great! I woke up today to a .6lb loss with no guilt, regrets or should'nt have feelings. I plan to stay on track this holiday season and look forward to bathing suit shopping at the end of December for a January trip to MX.
