Have you already been sleeved, Newbody? Please don't feel badly -- we ALL overindulge at times. With the sleeve, we just hope that we overindulge less and less, mainly because the sleeve won't let us! As one of the quotes that some of the people on this site use: "Mistakes are not fatal. Success is not permanent." (Or something along those lines.) The MOST IMPORTANT THING about mistakes is that we learn from them! What caused your overeating? Where you lonely, hungry, sad, angry? Can you try to recognize that feeling again and try to channel your feelings by doing something else you might enjoy? Would you be able to work with a Behavior Therapist, or just a good friend, and try to figure out why you're doing what you do? Getting yourself motivated and excited about taking care of your health and your mental well-being is what you need. You're a good person and you deserve to treat yourself right! Think about YOURSELF!

Thank you I really needed that. Yes I have already been sleeved for about 4months. I brought carbs back into my diet and ever since then I can't stop craving them I try not think about them, but it's hard. I eat then get full the like an hour later eat something again. I love my results so far from losing weight.

Oh, those dreaded Carbs! They're evil, I tell you, pure old evil! And you have, unfortunately, fallen under their spell again! It's like me with sugar. Just one little taste, and all of a sudden, I'm their willing slave again!

The only answer is you've got to break carbs' power over you! And the only way to do that is to STAY AWAY FROM THEM. It's just like being a junkie. You've got to stop COLD TURKEY (and it's very appropriate that it's Thanksgiving Day ^_^). Realize that carbs are only giving you a minute or two of pleasure, then you're left alone feeling bad about it. Yell, scream at any carbs that try to get in your hand or in your mouth! Tell carbs -- "GET BEHIND ME, SATAN!"

You sound like you've done great for 4 months -- you should be proud of yourself! But now you've let yourself forget the sleeve mantra: eat Protein first, without liquids and without gravy or other slider foods, so that it fills that stomach up! Doing that will make you start remembering what the sleeve is all about!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
