ThurstT4life 9 Posted November 23, 2012 I am still full from the little bit I ate today! I would have had two or more servings I had a tiny tiny tea cup saucer and I am still full! I LOVE IT! I was able to ENJOY the food as well! 2 LaBelle509 and flawlessly73 reacted to this
LaBelle509 326 Posted November 23, 2012 Same here The sleeve served it's purpose today for sure. Money well spent( or invested as my husband put it). But I love how I felt in charge
mcal 2 Posted November 23, 2012 This was my first Thanksgiving with the sleeve as well. What a difference it made. Not only was I full after a small amount but I noticed some of my old favorites weren't quite as good. The carb-heavy stuffing and mashed potatoes didn't really interest me as much as the turkey with a little cranberry sauce. I know what I was thankful for today! iggychic 1,405 Posted November 23, 2012 Im worried because I am not feeling full. I know my sleeve is new but thought I should feel full.. You aren't on solid food are you? Once you eat denser foods you'll fill up faster.
ThurstT4life 9 Posted November 23, 2012 I was also the same before I got to solid foods! To be honest I thought my sleeve was not right...it was done wrong etc...spent 13k on nothing! Once I over ate (Solid foods) I knew it was real. Today o ly a month and a couple days out ...i am happy i did it...
pedsnurse120304 19 Posted November 23, 2012 Thanks so much. You made me feel much better. I have also been doubting my decision. Did uou lose weight in the beginning?
ThurstT4life 9 Posted November 23, 2012 I have lost 24 lbs. since surgury! I was expecting it to melt off. I went to my post op month visit yesterday and the doc said I am doing fine.I am right where I am supposed to be. I was depressed because i thought it was going to be faster. 20 LBS a month though is great. I also did that without walking or exercising. I am much more mobile but am still a bit heavy for the daily routine. I have been my own encouragement...everybody is different. I plan to go to a support group next week as well.
