I am just about to move out of the purée stage and onto soft normal foods. I just want other people's opinion on Cereal? Can you eat it? Any that people had problems with? Any to a pod completely ? Thanks :)

My doctor advised avoiding cereal for the first 6 months because the primary goal is to get in all of the Protein required daily. I did purchase some Special K that is high in protein, and have had it a few times with no problems.

Thanks :) I'm more wondering if you can physically tolerate it, rather than if I should or shouldn't because if carbs/sugar etc. currently I haven't been able to tolerate very much at all-liquid or otherwise so I'd rather be eating a little bit of something than nothing at all because I'm so low on energy. Will see my nutritionist in a few days so will discuss with her the logistics =)

Cereal is allowed in my diet. I don't have it often and typically since my lunch and dinner are seriously Protein filled I don't concern myself too much with that part. I've lost 50 lbs in 7 weeks and ive not avoided much of what others do. I think it's all up to your dr, nut and your body
