I'm just over four weeks out and I'm now eating a little chicken or beef. But let me tell you, it sits like a rock right below my breast bone! And if I eat a bite too much...yikes.

Beef is worse so I'm passing on that. And I'm beginning to recognize full. But I am really wanting to avoid meat at this point. That wouldn't concern me, but since my surgery I can not stand my protien shakes. So bizarre , because I have been using this product for years and loving it. Getting plenty of protien was never a concern.

Untill post surgery and now it tastes like metal in my mouth! I've added fruit, cocoa, sf syrups.....still yuck. I fear I will lose my hair if this keeps up. And, of course I have no energy, and weight loss has stalled. The stall doesn't concern me, I know it's temporary. But I sure could use some energy!

I love taco bell taco may its so minced. And great flavor plus a side of it is only like 60 cents.

I can't do my Protein drinks either. However a nurse who works with my surgeon recommended this Protein Shots but don't drink them pour a little in your Water.

We had our Thanksgiving meal on Tuesday. My husband works all holidays unless they fall on his days off (Mon. Tue.)

I had the hardest time with the turkey. It was moist, I even put a little bit of gravy on it; still no go. I went to Taco Bell and had the bean burrito ( 2 meals ); I removed the tortilla part.

I can do chicken salad, but not chicken itself, not even the dark meat. I handle Wendy's Chili and my homemade (with ground turkey) well, at 5 weeks out, but I still have trouble with meat.< /p>

To be honest, I am sick of the Protein drinks, but need them to get my Protein in daily.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
