coolmamma73 129 Posted November 21, 2012 Ok, so found out my insurance will cover complications which is nice, but obviously not hoping for any! My question is once we get back, for normal post op care do we just see our regular PCP or does it have to be with a specialist?
bayareanan 24 Posted November 21, 2012 Your PCP can order the necessary blood work. Mostly, it is Vitamen levels. Unless you are diabetic, and then I would assume you follow up with whoever is following you now,. When I told my PCP I had the sleeve, he started doing more lab work, but it was no big deal. 1 coolmamma73 reacted to this

He's supportive and is glad that I've forewarned so he will "care for me" like a postop Bariatric patient... 1 coolmamma73 reacted to this
amykins 202 Posted November 22, 2012 I met with my PCP about 10 days out just to have him look at everything (incisions, etc)to make sure I was okay. No specialist is needed. He had me come back at 6 weeks and then I don't go back until I'm 6 months out unless I need something. 10 weeks out I'm feeling great! 1 coolmamma73 reacted to this
