Not Full From Greek Yogurt?

Recommended Posts

I'm 6 months out but I've been able to eat a 5oz container of yogurt since 4 weeks...I didn't try it sooner but I'm thinking you shouldn't worry. You will hurt if you hurt your sleeve.

Congrats on getting sleeved :)

I eat some Greek yougart for bfast almost everyday. It's much more filling if I throw a handful of crushed up shredded wheat or kashi crunchy Cereal in it. If not it seems to slide right thru.

Never got a prescription for one... Now even more worried :(

You don't have to have a prescription. Prevacid and Prilosec are both PPIs

From what I understand, the object is never to feel full, just satisfied.

If you eat until you feel full, you are eating too much.

Okay I guess I will try one. I don't have much acid issues though.

Volume is the measurement you need to be concerned with. Think about the size of your sleeve...it does not matter if you eat half a cup of lead or half a cup of feathers, it only has room for half a cup. Weight is handy for some tracking (ie MFP) but you want to be sure you aren't over filling your sleeve which is a volume issue.

A lot of perceived hunger that people often complain of is actually acid in the stomach which is why so many doctors tell their sleeve patients to take them.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
