Whats The Best Exercise To Lose The Fat On Thighs

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately there is no way to lose weight from a specific area, only gain muscle. Try different cardio workouts.

I would tell you to build up your thigh and buttocks muscles with weight training. Seems contrary to logic but those muscles are the largest in the body. Built up, they burn more calories when you use them and at rest. They are your best fat burners. You will not look like steroid plumped bodybuilding women if you don't take steroids.

In my experience, the first fat to go on is the last to come off. My lower belly is defiant but doomed to extinction.

Thighmaster? :P

Maybe lunges and squats?

Yep, I concur, spot reduction is not possible. You lose fat typically in the reverse order you gain it, so first in - last out. It's pretty much how you've been programmed genetically.

That being said what the posters above have mentioned, good leg exercises like mentioned or even cycling and swimming concentrating on kicks.

walking. brisk walking helps. The more steps you walk the more it will help.

Some people have lipoedema. google it to see some severe cases. If you have lipoedema, you'll lose some weight off your legs, but you may never have "normal"legs. My sisters and I all have it. One sister is 158 pounds and a size small on top and a size 14 pants. Even my youngest sister who weighs just 120 pounds has fat legs. She was a competitive wrestler in high school and wrestled at 112.... her top was a 00 with every rib showing and her bottom half was a 4... yeah, I know a four is not exactly HUGE, but when you're top is a 00 and you weigh 112 pounds, a four is big. People would sometimes call her Nani because she was built like Nani from Lilo and stitch. Nani.jpg

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
