*Dean* 1,594 Posted November 19, 2012 Hi everyone, My names Dean. In a 43 years old, married with 8 year old twin girls. I'm a Detective with the Queensland Police. I had my surgery on the 7th Nov (12 days ago) and I'm feeling pretty good. My starting weight was 137kgs (301.4) After the 2 week pre op diet I was 130kgs (286) on the day of surgery. After the first week I was happy to lose another 5 kgs (11) and was at 125kgs (275). So 12kg (26.4) in total. Looking forward to getting to know everyone. This week my weight seems to have really slowed, it looks like I'll lose about a pound, maybe. I'm not too worried, I know this is a long road, but I was surprised that the weight loss slowed up so quickly. All the best, Dean

puppyphat 397 Posted November 19, 2012 Hi dean, I'm in Sydney, I had my surgery in august this year. There is an Aussie group on here under "local sleeve support groups" in the forums section. The best thread on there is called "attention Australian sleevers". There are head of people from qld, some have already met up with each other in person. Everybody is at different stages so anything you want to know, there will be someone who has been there and done that. Come and say hi. 1 *Dean* reacted to this

Thanks - I'm convincing myself that I'm not worried about it! It's still pretty early for me, so I can't physically increase the cals yet, but I'll keep the tip in mind. Thanks, Deano

SleeveNZ 219 Posted November 19, 2012 Hi Dean i was sleeved on the 6th we have lost the same amount .... I lost 7 pre-op and 5kg in the second week. This week I have lost 0.5kg ... frustrating as I exercise a lot and wasn't expecting to stall so soon and am on purely liquid diet but overall you got to be stoked with your 12kg loss!! Keep it up, the scale will move for us shortly I am sure!! Take some measurements as you will still be losing inches I bet

I'm still on the liquid diet and can only manage about 700 calories a day. I've been walking heaps and gardening etc. Nothing too strenuous. Good luck!
