I was recently sleeved on Monday 11/12 and I'm not sure how you feel but I stopped taking my pain meds and it actually relieved by gas and allowed me to go to the bathroom. I also drank a homemade Protein shake and this helped me relieve gas as well! Hope this helps!

Fiddleman 4,376 Posted November 18, 2012 Walking is really good at getting the painful gas out of the system. I know it is really hard at the beginning; I remember. Start on just walking around the block and work your way up to longer distances until you are out for an hour at a time. It will really help you feel better in addition to being a good start at an exercise program while healing. Don't forget to drink all the time.
suzthebrit 146 Posted November 18, 2012 I was given a liquid similar to Maalox when I came out of the hospital and was told to take it every 8 hours. It was really helpful in the beginning with the gas pains. I take it everyday now to stop the pain I get when I drink water!
