So nauseous. I can barely get any Protein in. All I do is sip Water. Plus I only feel ok if I'm laying down. The second I get up I am so nauseous. Doctor prescribed dissolvable zofran. It helps the first hour but then the next five are agony. Did anyone else experience this??? I'm regretting my decision to have the surgery. I just want to feel better.

im really sorry you are feeling this way. i do remember feeling this way the first 4 days and it was awful. i hope and pray that you get better soon.i battled nausea as well and still do from time to time and i still take my medicine prescribed.

are you in physical pain from incisions or internally when fluids go down?. have you tried warm tea/ the tea helped and saved me so much. it got alot of gas out and made me feel much better! what does your doctors office say? i know how you feel about regretting your decision because i did too but i can only say it does get better. i am now 11 days post op and feel pretty good. i hope you feel better soon! keep us posted :)

I had some pretty bad nausea issues up until about 4 weeks post op. They put me on hardcore anti nausea stuff 24/7 and even then it still wasn't enough. At some point my body just got over it, though. Hopefully time will help :)

I only regretted it when I woke up in recovery to the nurse telling me to keep breathing... and she told me two or three times and then they brought in the oxygen and then in a couple of hours as the anesthesia wore off, I got better and then they took me down and put me in a room. My surgery was about 9am and I'm not sure if it was the same day or the next day they had me get up and walk around the nurses station. They had the rooms in a circle around a nurses station. I walked it at least three times while I was there. But that wasn't too bad because I was still on pain medicine so my knees didn't hurt.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
