How long post op did you drink any alcohol? I know it's empty calories, I'm band to VSG. I know the rules. Just wondering how soon you had a half a glass of wine or something?

I was told to wait at least six months, which is making me cry because I've got soju tucked in my cabinet just waiting ;_;

I waited six months. I was cleared for alcohol at my six month appt. It just wasn't worth it to me to try it before my dr. OK'd it for me. Six months is a blink in the big picture.

I swear I've asked this questions million times and got different answers. 2 mths out my dr said a glass every now and then is fine. I did it, it didn't make me crazy drunk or bother me at all like some said. I would've been so sad I love wine and margaritas . However not doin it often because I need to loose weight. Anyways, go slow and see how u feel also ask ur dr he will tell ya
