A Bit Worried... Probably Nothing, But...

Recommended Posts

I've been very light headed today, if I sit down for more then a few min, after getting up my ears get this weird sensation kinda like getting warm or it kinda feels like Fluid in my head is going from the very top to the rest of my head... (think surfacing in a pool), I am also temporarily sissy upon getting up.

I've been good about liquids I feel like I'm very hydrated, forgot my Multivitamin but took it now, I haven't met my goal for Protein yet, and kinda have failed to meet it for a few days, I'm wondering if it can be that? (don't fall too short, but occasionally do fall a bit short)

I'm not sure what it is or what it can be but I've been feeling it all day anyone have an idea? I did search but results weren't too good.

At first I wondered if it may be low blood pressure or something similar. You should be taking B12, Thiamine and your multi at this point, perhaps have some diluted gatorade to add electrolites and a little sugar to your system, your body has been through a lot and is still recovering.

If you don't feel better get yourself checked out either in urgent care or a follow up with your surgeon or bariatric doctor.

your sugar might be low. Try drinking a little diluted juice and see if that helps.

Not diabetic, and I have drank alteast 6oz of non diluted orange juice today, not sure if that'll help in either the B12 and/or low sugar department.

Not sure if it's worth mentioning or just a coincidence but I'm starting to get very tired (normal sleep time is around 2 am) and kinda cold/chills they are tolerable tho, it's probly just cold in my place

Also I do not take any kind of blood pressure med.

Are you still taking pain meds? That could do it. Otherwise it sounds like dehydration- so call your doc in the AM.

Good luck!

No more pain meds, been off for like 3ish days (possible more, not likely any less)

Also probly worth mentioning, Ive been very good with fluids, about 3 Water bottles today + juice + other misc liquids, so I should be past my 64 oz for the day.

Ate a bit of Salk in the case that it could be bp, ima sip som juice in the case that it's sugar, just drank about 6 oz of water...

I get that all the time!! I am 10 weeks out, surgery was 8/28, it's really bad when I get home from the gym, to the point I get tunnel vision. Not every day is the same, some days I don't have it. My friend that is almost 3 yrs out said she had it for the first year. My Bp is fine sitting but I know it bottoms out when I stand up. I just have learned to know my body and that my work outs can't be as hard as I want them to be. All my blood work is totally normal

Not a doc, but it sounds a lot like my blood pressure experiences. Are you running a fever at all?

Not trying to double post, but my iPad isn't letting me multi quote. I'm sorry that that happened to you for so long after, was it a priority with you and your doctor or did they just tell you that your okay and sweep it under the rug?

Reason I ask is because this is a problem for me, and I cannot go back to work like this, things like this gets people hurt in my work, I got so much time off because I need to be back at 115%

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
