Sharonisshrinking 82 Posted November 14, 2012 Okay, so maybe I'm jumping the gun here, but I was sleeved one week ago tomorrow. Apart from losing the four pounds I gained in the hospital, I have lost......wait for it........1POUND! Am I doing this wrong? I'm working hard on my Protein and staying hydrated. I'm walking 15 to 20 minutes a day. Help! I lost 50 pre op. but only one pound post. 1 Simons.... reacted to this
CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted November 14, 2012 The first few weeks are weird like that. You will likely drop a bunch of weight soon and then stall again. I wish people would have their scales taken away the first 1-2 months post op...lol... it would reduce the stress. And then, one day you will realize you have lost a lotta weight, even with all that annoying stops and starts! Hang in there and just focus on healing and following surgeons instructions for now. 2 Susie in Lima and ProudGrammy reacted to this
Simons.... 5 Posted November 15, 2012 I was weighed at an ER visit and that 's how I found out I've lost 23 lbs since surgery. I don't have a scale at home because I'll check it every day. I agree that the way you feel should be the focus. I feel lighter, lol.... My clothing are looser and before I saw the number I knew I had lost. It sounds like you're doing everything right. Give it time. Good luck. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
ProudGrammy 8,322 Posted November 15, 2012 "I wish people would have their scales taken away the first 1-2 months post op" ahhhhh, pearls of wisdom from CowirlJane do as she says, NOT as I do!!!! You are only one week post- op, the weight will come off you can't help but lose weight with the little you are drinking now - not even eating yet please don't be a slave to that darn scale good luck 2 Kalimomof3 and Susie in Lima reacted to this
