mezanne1401 190 Posted November 14, 2012 When I sip my cold Water, the gassy feeling comes back and kind of hurts. I don't know if I'm hungry or gassy. I have no idea what to expect and I kind of feel like I don't know what my body is telling me. Oh, I had surgery Monday, 11/12. Did anyone experience the same? Threetimesacharm 1,400 Posted November 14, 2012 I know that I burped alot in the beginning right out of recovery. It does sound like gas. For some cold Water is just too cold, try warm or hotter water maybe with flavouring in it. Hot herbal tea might help too. 1 Jolie_KeMi reacted to this
Jolie_KeMi 345 Posted November 14, 2012 I couldn't drink cold Water the first week; only room temp. Like Amazon said, try warm teas or room temp water.
CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted November 14, 2012 Try warm, not hot, herbal tea. I mean the stuff that has no caffeine so it isn't really tea - like sleepy time by celestial seasonings etc. It is so much easier on the tummy then cold Water. remember, sip sip sip to keep hydrated with small amounts at a time. TheGamer 406 Posted November 14, 2012 My nurse explained to me that warm liquid actually helps the muscles of the stomach relax and that it will help ease whatever you're drinking down. I lived off hot things my first couple weeks.
