Colunga65 8 Posted November 14, 2012 What can you eat at this point. My doc says broths, jellos, eggs any style, cottage cheese, string cheese, Decaf tea. I was told absolutely no Protein Shakes or bars. I'm eating and drinking like a bird.

Jo D B 3 Posted November 17, 2012 Sleeved Oct. 29, I just bought a Magic Bullet and it Wks great. I'm still puréeing foods like ground round, ham, eggs, crawfish and my Fav (because I don't have to purée) lump crabmeat.
Colunga65 8 Posted November 17, 2012 I bought a similar blender.. I'm a little over three weeks out. Sleeved 10/
Sansa 39 Posted November 17, 2012 I am also 3 weeks out. I pureed some beef with canned Soup last night. It was delicious and filled me up for awhile. I just went out and bought every kind of canned soup that looked good to me in order to puree them. I am, however, allowed to have Protein Shakes and puddings but have been adding Fiber to them to make them a little bit more substantial. Others on this board seem to eat a lot of fat like dairy products, Beans, nuts, and avocados. chicken salad, tuna salad (without the salad part), scrambled and deviled eggs, and oatmeal are other suggestions. Others on this board eat baby food which really isn't such a bad idea.
Kmasden 14 Posted November 17, 2012 I'm a month out, and have been more on the side of the "fattening" products...because they are wet and go down easier and the more Fluid it is, the less it fills me up. I feel like i'm having a hard time though, not losing as quickly as some, maybe even most. Only down about 20 or so now since surgery day, wondering why i have no trouble drinking or can ingest a good 1/3 cup of food without trouble...i think being able to eat and drink at all scares me. I was so worried before surgery as i had heard that people can't chug Water anymore, i have very little problem with stuff like that. Interesting your doc said no protien drinks, i do find it hard to get in, because i need the protien but it is a lot of calories once i'm eating real food too....wish i could find more threads that deal with that! Good luck!!
