Any Reviews For Dr. Garcia?

Recommended Posts

I have been researching and calling around and I think I have it narrowed down to two surgeons, but leaning more towards Dr. Garcia. Any reviews on him? Would live to hear about experiences. I sent a long list of questions and everyone was answered and I have been very pleased so far, but before I pay the deposit I wanted to see what experiences people have had. Thanks!

I am going with him next month. I did a lot of research on here and online. Search him by name on google and these threads and you will find wonderful reviews.

Good luck in your search ;)

You can also watch videos of him and his team on YouTube to kindof "meet" them. The videos are done by ready for a change.

Hello...I'm here now in TJ. My surgery is scheduled for 2pm. The staff at ready 4a change have been amazing so far. Yes, I'm afraid but Rosie has called to check on me 3 times since my arrival yesterday. I'm being picked up at the hotel in 10mins and ill post a review later this week. So far, I'm sure I made the right choice.

There are alot of posts on here about Dr Garcia not sure if you have read them. I had a revision on Sept 10th, he is an amazingly skilled surgeon. You can't go wrong by going with Dr Garcia!

I'm day 4 post op and have nothing negative to report. My revision was a great success. dr Garcia and the entire ready 4a change staff are amazing. The hotel is beautiful and now I feel like I'm on vacation. I would definitely book with them. My mom is now being scheduled for January. This is one of the best things I've done for myself.

I also had a great experience with Dr Garcia in August. I went through A Lighter Me and everything was just as I was told.

Hey folks I'm consider Dr. Garcia for my procedure. But I've kinda been road blocked. I've been getting mixed reviews in A Lighter Me mostly bad. But good reviews on Ready4Achange. What is it that the coordinators do different that results in such different price ranges? Ready for a change looks to be higher but a few thousand dollars. Unless I had the wrong website. That discourages me because a lighter me is in my price range but ppl have said some bad things about the service

Dr Garcia is 4700 with R4C and Ronda with ALM quoted me 4800 with him. I think those r the only 2 services he works with, but I could be wrong.

Good luck!

A few months ago it was the other way around, all I heard was negative things about Readyforachange, which made me go with alighterme. I've made up my mind to just not care about the coordinator drama, I'm going to a great doctor and I'm happy about that. I do want a good experience from start to finish though, and all I can do is hope that I receive that. I'm not going until March though, but I will be sure to post about my experience for others :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
