IMABear 57 Posted November 12, 2012 Well Im 5 days out. Can't say it has been the easiest or the hardest 5 days of my life. I couldn't drink more then about 16 oz of Fluid for the first couple days. I knew this was not good, but, thats how it was. I resorted to drinking Gatorade. I needed to get as much electrolytes I could and this was what I went with. I discovered I was not big on cold liquids. Didn't feel right. So I have gone to room temp to warm liquids. Feels so much better. Yesterday I felt pretty good and pushed myself to get more fluids in. Ensure Clear is nasty, but I Water it down and that works. chicken broth is nasty. Beef Broth OK. I resorted to making a "Cup Of Noodle" Soup and just drinking the liquid. Wow, that is so much better. My Dr. does Clear Liquids for the first week postop. Then, full liquids week 2. I feel so good today and see things only going up from here. I will say, I did have a few points in the past few days of "What the hell have I done". But, move on and don't have a pitty party for myself.
