butta1074 68 Posted November 15, 2012 My dr told me to start walking immediately after my surgery. He said I could use the treadmill, stair master and bike like 3days after. No weights til a month and a half. It gets rid if the gas and swelling quickly. 1 Readyfourchg reacted to this
MG in SD 75 Posted November 15, 2012 I walked the first two weeks, and started with gradual gym visits on week 3. Only cardio at first and only how much your body can handle. Good luck!
IsB 209 Posted November 16, 2012 I started 20 minutes on the elliptical 3 days out. By a week out I was up to 40 minutes which was my pre-op cardio time. I met with the doctor for my 2 week post-op visit and he cleared me for yoga and weight training which I started today. Yoga and kettlebells felt very good after a 2 week layoff. ericgaults 1 Posted November 22, 2012 Walking is I think the safest thing to do, we can do it slowly at first until we are used to do it. Better yet, consult your doctor to assure your safety.
