Kalimomof3 613 Posted November 20, 2012 I have been so tired. I don't have the energy to work out. I used to exercise all the time before surgery. I can't even get through 30 minutes . Anybody else? I am way tired... I force myself to walk around my block a couple times most days but then I sit around like a log afterward lol.

Vidalia 122 Posted November 20, 2012 11 days post-op...went to Taco Bell today so I could eat with my husband. I ordered a chicken soft taco and a pintos and cheese. I ate the chicken out of the taco with a little sauce on it and about ten small bites of the Beans. So far so good. This is my first adventure eating outside the house. Makes me feel a little bit normal again. 2 pedsnurse120304 and spieldose reacted to this

timetobefree 74 Posted November 20, 2012 Hi, All! Sleeved 11/9, so I am 11 days out. Or 12. Whatever. I've been on purees/mushies for four days now. Well-blended chicken salad, egg salad, scrambled eggs, soft cheese, yogurt. Everything goes down just fine. My frustration is I am still really hungry all the time. Keep hoping it'll go away soon! I would love to eat Tomato Soup and/or spaghetti sauce, but I was told no acidic foods until 3 weeks out, so 10 more days.
bbkipps99 48 Posted November 20, 2012 13 days post op. One more wk of shake and anything through a strainer. Doc was telling me about a patient that tried mashed potatoes 9 days post op is in icu for a leak. Not worth the risk imo Being self pay not worth it at all. Thank god my will was strong enough for the post op diet of liquids
timetobefree 74 Posted November 20, 2012 Mashed potatoes are on my post-7 days menu! Although I see all these people eating Tomato Soup, and I'm not allowed that for 3 weeks, so post-op instructions really do vary by surgeon. In fact, I just finished a few tablespoons of mashed potatoes, and I am 11 (12?) days post-op. 1 spieldose reacted to this

Tomato Soup was on my pre-op diet, in fact they brought it to me while in the hospital. Mash potatoes were not. Surgeons preference I believe

itstimeforachange 18 Posted November 20, 2012 I was sleeved on the 16th and I'm not having any issues. PTL!!!!!!! Today I started my 1st week liquid diet. 54grams I'd Protein and 40oz of Water. I'm about to eat dinner. No regrets!!!????
Steph1333 6 Posted November 21, 2012 Clearly I have a very conservative surgeon, but I'm on Protein Shakes and Clear Liquids for 4 weeks post-op. I haven't taken a real bite of something besides sf popsicles in 5 weeks now :-). I'll be on blended foods another 2 weeks. Then soft foods another 2 weeks after that. "Regular" food 2 months post-op. Interesting....potatoes, cows milk, starchy veggies, and anything with >6g sugar per serving is on my "never again" list. Can't get over the differences in diet plans.
