Vidalia 122 Posted November 11, 2012 I was sleeved 2 days ago. I got home from hospital yesterday. This morning I started with my first Protein Shake. I am sitting here trying to get it down a tiny spoonful at a time. I hear lots of gurgling and some discomfort. I just want to know if this is normal and will it get better? awaywego 5 Posted November 11, 2012 Sounds very normal. My tummy made all sorts of gurgling and had lots of bubbly feelings.
Before 50 20 Posted November 11, 2012 Yes, this is very normal. I couldn't even drink protien shakes at all because they made me feel sick. I drank High Protien Boost instead and it agreed with my stomach better.
Readytolose2012 88 Posted November 11, 2012 I was told not to worry about Protein for the first week just to stay hydrated. Protein still makes my tummy bubbly at 9 weeks.

Holly5.3 423 Posted November 11, 2012 I'm 4 weeks out and my gurgling tummy is my alarm clock! When it's empty or getting full, it tells me! Annoying but it does remind me to eat otherwise I could go hours and hours now without eating/just don't feel hunger the same as before!
rybecca20 160 Posted November 11, 2012 You will hear it for many many weeks
Tiffany Talbert Corbet 46 Posted November 11, 2012 The first week, my surgeon wants me on Clear Liquids, but to add Protein bullets....1 42g bullet/day. Then the second week (after the first post-op appt) on to full liquids and the Protein Shakes.< /p>
