Maybe that has something to do with you being a lil depressed. I know change is very hard for me, I haven't been sleeved yet and that's why I spend so much time on here reading what everyone has to say. Maybe I can alter my thinking before my surgery.

I think I will always have to be on a diet or always have to watch what I eat. I think if I ate what I wanted I would gain weight.

I feel the same way if that scale don't move I feel like I'm failing. I have been in stall after stall. I wonder if we'll ever get the diet out of the head and start thinking this is how it is or just stop thinking about it all together :)

I used to think, "when I'm finished with --- (WW, Jenny Vraig, etc.), I'll be normal". If course, only to gain every lost ounce snd then some, back! But what is normal? My sister who is built exactly like me never let's her weight go above 145. She works at keeping her shape every day of her life snd it shows! If she gains a pound or two, she cuts down on her carbs and sugar and steps up her fitness a liitle. She has never ever said she was on a diet-she say's, "she's watching!" (She's my hero!) if that's what it takes to be normal, then that's what I've signed up for with this surgery! We are also married to brothers and it's been hard being the 'big' one! I feel bad for my husband, too, because he's had to live with me and my weight issues since we've been married, 22 years!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
