Frustrated With Shallow Painful Breathing! Anyone Else Have This?

I'm 3 weeks post op and have come along way in my breathing since surgery. I can max out the incentive spirometer and am fine during the day... BUT I just got back from the gym and am super frustrated. I still can't take those nice deep breaths that I used to and I get real bad pain in my throat when breathing heavy. Is the pain from the hernia removal? It is frustrating when I feel like I could job so much further and my endurance was feeling good, I just couldn't take a deep breath and I couldn't get past the pain in my throat.

Anyone have a similar experience, or know when it gets better? I just want to run!! I'm sick of walking!

I dont really know but from everything I have read about the hernia it could be pain from that!!!! Maybe you should call the dr on mon ask if its normal to still be having that?
