abetterme4.2 268 Posted November 10, 2012 Insecure or just plain hateful. I don't get that nastiness. Girl who works in the same building had a comment I overheard: "reeeaaalllyyyy nice girl with a pretty face. Too bad she's fat." The man she said it to responded: ."I'd take her home ANY day of the week before you. At some point, there is going to have to be a conversation and she has you beat, hands down." Although i was prepared to give her my own verbal abuse, I could have ran back and kissed him! Don't let her nastiness get you down. 1 Pelekania reacted to this

isajck 229 Posted November 10, 2012 Stopped by Panera bread for a takeout of their yummy chicken Soup broth & the guy behind the prep counter flirted with me so I flirted back. As I'm walking away I hear a female, practically yelling, say: "I knew it had to be a BIG girl" & then laugh. Why do females have to be so mean to each other? Call me crazy but this doesn't really sound like an insult towards you. It sounds like two co-workers that know each other really well, specifically his preferences in women. As stated previously, there are guys out there than like and/or prefer larger women and it sounds like he's one.

Maybe she had her eye on the guy that flirted with you first.
iggychic 1,405 Posted November 10, 2012 I don't know how others feel...but I don't find the word "big" to be a compliment...ever, well unless they are talking about my brain
isajck 229 Posted November 11, 2012 so your theory supports my theory that the girl had her eye on the guy first... No, I'm looking at this as two close co-workers having a laugh. For example, I have a gay friend that LOVES blondes to no end. We've been out, my back is turned and I will hear him flirting with someone. I already know, without looking, that the guy in question is blonde and we have joked about it before. This is what I feel the woman at Panera was doing. It had nothing to do with insulting Susan 2.0 and everything to do with having fun with her guy friend. 1 diedie reacted to this
