bengence 7 Posted November 9, 2012 Okay, I am 10 days out, 13 lbs down since surgery...I have not even lot and ounce in 5 days. I transitioned to soft foods, did chat a little and have some tuna and chicken but not more than 1/4 cup either time. My blood sugar has been out of whack and I was weak and light headed only on grits and shakes. I joined the gym today since i was given the green light to go ahead and do the treadmill. I need to know if anyone has any suggestions on how to get out of this slump! Thanks in advance!
xavtay2 85 Posted November 9, 2012 Congratulations on your decision to have the sleeve!~ I am now 8 weeks out and this is the best thing I have ever done for myself... About the stall...my doctor told me for weeks 3 and 4 most people experience a stall. (In other words, it is completely normal to not have any weight loss during those weeks because your body is still recovering from a big loss the first two weeks). Sounds like you are doing everything right just keep doing it and it will eventually start back. I an in another stall now and have been for almost two weeks but I keep eating right and going to the gym because i know eventually it will change... You can do it 1 bengence reacted to this
barbi1281 112 Posted November 9, 2012 I've had the same thing happen. I am seeing my size change though so just keep going. I lost 9 pounds my first week and then I've lost 2 pounds since (I'm 3.5 weeks out) - absolutely nothing during week two. At the same time I've gone from an 18/tight 16 pre-op to a loose 14/snug 12 now so something is definitely changing . 3 bengence, Carol Watts and whitneymalae reacted to this
Carol Watts 67 Posted November 9, 2012 I am doing the same thing also. i am 4 1/2 weeks post-op and I stalled at week 2 and since I have only lost a couple of pounds. I am losing inches and dropping clothing sizes. I have went from 3x in shirt to xl in shirt from 22/24 to 14/16 in pants. Hang in there. That is what I am having to do. I know it is frustrating as can be though. 1 bengence reacted to this
bengence 7 Posted November 9, 2012 Thanks so much to all three of you! I am glad I am not alone and that even if the scale isn't moving atleast the clothes are still getting loose! I wish you all the best! 1 Carol Watts reacted to this
griega232 23 Posted November 9, 2012 Don't look at the scale, this is about your health n your knew life. I know it's hard, I'm almost 3 months out and i used to check the scale all the time. Now I check once a week, it's inevitable that we are going to keep losing and stalls are guaranteed to come n go because our bodies get used to patterns. 7 weeks out n I'm down 53 lbs, it will happen (: 1 Carol Watts reacted to this
