LOL I know exactly what you mean! My new stomach makes those noises all the time when I eat! Sometimes I can't help but laugh at how noisy it is now . I think it's just digestion and nothing to worry about. As long as you don't have any strange or bad feelings you should be ok... if you do, call your doc :) .

The first few months my stomach sounded like Water going down the drain! Sort of a gurgling sucking sound. Its much better now(22 months), and only once in a while growls.

I'm 7 months out and down over 100lbs and my stomach still sounds like a 30 piece Orchestra!! LOL My boyfriend lays his head on my belly and just laughs!! It can get really loud at times! I call my sleeve "Chewy" because it sounds like Chewbacca from Star Wars!!! LOL!!!

Hi all...I'm 4 years out and its still going strong...no controll over it what so ever! Was going to town just this morning! I also have this little bonus of sneezing 3 times and then hiccuping 2-3 times when I'm full...so almost everytime I eat....that got really old...really quick...but thats still going strong too! but down from 330#'s to 175# so something the new me will just have to live with.

Almost two months out, and it seems to be doing it less. It seems like if I eat too fast, or don't chew well enough (though I'm still on soft) that it tends to do it more.

I am 9 months out. My stomach makes noises all the time...no rhyme or reason. Its really annoying actually. Its the only thing I don't like about the sleeve. I could be sitting a cube sipping on hot tea and growl...growl...growl...gurgle gurgle. My cube neighbors all laugh or make comments like "hungry much" or make faces (some not so nice). I just want to crawl under a rock! My husband was sleeved too and he doesn't have or make any noises at all. It kind of sounds like a burp that is on its way up but never comes out. Sometimes its uncomfortable. I hope it goes away soon but I am afraid I will just have to live with it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
