Ever since my weight approached (and subsequently dropped below) 200lbs, I have had periods of multiple weeks where weightless halts. But often, I notice body changes despite scale inaction.

15 days - my first stall at week 6. After that most stalls have ranged from 3-5 days and occur every other week. Average loss a month is between 10-15 lb. I am currently 4 month+ post op.

Hallo

Between month 5 and 7 I had a seven week stall.Then I dropped 14 pounds in 4 days.

Averaged out to 2 pounds a week.

I've just lost nothing for 3 weeks and since 2 days ago dropped 5 pounds. So I still expect more..lol

Three weeks after surgery I stalled for 6 weeks. I thought I was going to lose my mind. I was doing E V E R Y T H I N G perfectly. The scale would not budge. I decided my body just needed to do whatever it needs to do to adjust at that point. It did too.

Had my stall a week after surgery, it broke today so almost 2 weeks stalled. My doc said to eat more and see if that helped and it worked for me!

Mine was a month. I upped my calories and Water and CARBS for a week and it broke. Lost 4 pounds the next week. Water is most important thing that sometimes gets overlooked. Almost all of the posts I read about stalls people say they could do better on water. The more you drink the less your body holds on to. My NUT told me 8 glasses is just an average for everyone, you should drink 1/2 your body weight in water daily. Also stir up your exercise routine. Your body gets used to the same thing every day.

Good luck I know it stinks!

This post is very reassuring. I am 5 1/2 weeks out and have stalled for the last 3. The first few weeks I actually though "Is this it? Is this all I get?" But after speaking to my surgeon u realized its perfectly normal, just goes to show that surgery really isn't the easy way out. If you want ur sleeve to work for u then u have to work for ur sleeve. Being honest I haven't stepped inside the gym in months. Next week I'm going bak into the routine as I will be able to exhert myself to a normal limit. I just keep telling myself that if I just keep doing what I'm doing then the weight WILL come off, it just has to :)

You sound like me. I lost a chunk of weight my first 10 days and then nothing for 2/3 weeks. I upped what I was eating and dropped pounds this week. I just hope it continues. I'll be 6 weeks tues and down 40lbs

I've been in a stall for a week. When I went to the NUT and she said I am way under my protein/water amounts. I'm on week 3. Up my Protein to 60. Water to 40ish but working to get to 64 oz. I hope this will help. Already noticed that my dry mouth and headaches have gone away.

I was doing pretty good up until about a month ago. I have been stuck at 176 lbs. I am going to try to get in more Water, I think that is my main problem and watch the carbs more closely. It is so easy to get depressed but I am trying to stay positve. We'll see what happens.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
