mirav79 13 Posted November 10, 2012 I'm scheduled for surgery Monday with Dr. Kyack. Has anyone else had their procedure done at South SF Kaiser? If so' date=' how was your experience?[/quote'] I was sleeved on Oct 3rd by Dr. David Le. He was amazing. I know the OR nurse that assists both drs and she says that they are both incredible. She mentioned that Dr. Khayat is new to Kaiser but that he uses a new simpler technique that the other drs have also picked up and it's been an amazing experience for all the patients. I can honestly say that I had a great experience and no complications whatsoever. Didn't have to do any pre-op liquid diets that many seem to mention here. Only a light dinner the night before the surgery. Best of luck to the both of you .

The surgery is only about 45 minutes and then the journey begins. Since Oct 3rd I've lost 25 lbs and couldn't be happier. It will be the best thing you ever did. mirav79 13 Posted November 12, 2012 I couldn't eat anything until the day after surgery. Not to worry though because you will not feel any hunger. For the next 2 days I was on a liquid diet (just broth, Jello & tea/water). From day 3 until my 2 week check up I was on stage 2 of the liquid diet which included yogurt, mashed potatoes, creamy Soups and a few other items that I can't remember but they should all be in the handbook Hope that helps a little.
