Yes. Virtually everyone. Please just keep doing what you're doing, and it will all happen in its own good time. I promise. Do not freak out about this, it will pass. Chuck your scale for a while. Even when you start downward again, you will bounce a little up and a lot down...ad nauseum. No worries. ;)

dooter is right. i'm about 6 months out and am currently in my 3rd stall. this one is a doosie. it's been about 4 weeks since i've lost anything. but, i know that eventually, it'll pick back up. it has every time so far. she is also right about chucking the scale. if you weigh yourself every day, you are setting yourself up to be bummed out. 1x a week is plenty. however, that is personal opinion and lots of people on here do it everyday, i've just noticed that, for me, it's less of of bummer during a stall.

good luck.

When I stall...its usually a week long. I noticed when I up my calories, it breaks the stall.

Good Luck and congrats on your weightloss !! :)

I too was sleeved on 9/25 and I have been losing weight consistently. Since the surgery, I have lost 35 pounds. I try time weigh myself once a week but didn't lose anything in the past week. My exercise routine has picked up so I'm hoping it's due to muscle gain.

I was sleeved oct 22 and stalled one week later and it let up today! My doc told me to eat more to break the stall, I did and it worked. He said to look at the amount of calories i was consuming, there was no way that the 500-600 cal/day was enough for me to gain and it was no fault of my own that I wasn't losing! Everyone has these from what I have seen, good luck! :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
