Dooter 1,457 Posted November 9, 2012 Are you asking what will happen if you do not follow the rules? (just clarifying) If that is the case... don't worry. you will not want to eat anyway. It is VERY unsafe to break the rules in the early stages. The rules are there for your safety. Follow them to the letter. PLEASE. My dr had me on a liquid diet for a week before to shrink my liver. Some go through a whole month of a pre-op diet but I have heard of others who do not have any type of pre-op diet other than to fast the day before. I would go in today to your surgeon and be completely honest with him and tell him that you strayed away from your diet and that way he can be completely informed.
