For Those Who Started At 250

Recommended Posts

I know not to compare to others, but I would live to know how long it took you to get to "onederland" for those of u ladies who started at 250. I just hit my 4 months and I am so close to it, I thought of get there faster. I'm stalling again at 203-205. Yes I'm drinking me Water and getting 80-100 Protein daily. Workout 3-5 times a week and I work in a restaurant. I only take in 30-40 carbs daily. Thanks!

I started at 270 and am four months out. I was 196.2 this morning. I saw my surgeon last month and he said my weight loss is above average so take my losses with a grain of salt.

I was 252 when I started. I had surgery on June 11th, so I am almost 5 months and am now 182,down 70 pounds. I had a stall last week and finally broke through it. I am guilty, guilty, guilty of not eating enough Protein or Water. I am not hungry or thirsty and I am so busy that I forget. We also were without power for almost a week due to Hurricane Sandy and I was not making the best choices for food when I did eat!

I'm sooooooo jealous of all you guys! I started at 262 sleeved on 4/10 and I'm only down to 214-218 depending. I'm eating at least 80 grams of Proteins and more than enough Water. I don't know what the problem is. I'm working out 6 days a week and sometimes twice a day. The only thing I can think of is maybe its my Implanon(BC) which I'm seriously considering removing. I don't know what move I can do. But I'm happy for you guys, keep up the good work.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
