It will get better. Keep sipping on liquids per your doctor's orders and walk walk walk. You'll regain your strength eventually. Use the pain meds your doctor prescribed as needed. It took me about 2 weeks before I didn't need them anymore.

I was sleeved on the 5th, lots of discomfort. I have been walking and sipping, I guess it is helping I still feel like I was hit by a freight train as well. I have this pain that comes and goes between my breasts, does anyone else have this issue?

I was sleeved on the 8th. Have a lot of what I would call gas pain. But, it still HURTS! Sipping every 3 minutes and walking every hour. Hope it gets better soon. The gas is the worst part of this! When can you drink normal amounts vs. sips?

I was sleeved on 11/2 and feel so good I have to stop myself from doing too much. Each day gets better. Walk, do knee bends if you can. I used a heating pad on my stomach and it really helped break up the gas. I am on puréed food noe - they let me start early and I just have to remind myself to go slowly. Just breath, take the meds and move around. You will come to feel normal soon!

I was sleeved on 11/6 doctor said 4 more weeks of liquid but will revisit in 2 weeks. Maybe a cheat on mushy for turkey day. Going back to the gym on Monday. The worst part is burping and hiccups they do hurt. I did ask why so long on liquids he said they have had excellent results with the sleeve healing. So who is it for me to second guess. Good luck everyone thoughts and prayers to you all.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
