Hi! I'm 3 weeks post op and just wondering what everyone was eating T this stage. In almost Fraid to try new but because of the hurricane last week, I had to try a few different foods due to having to leave my house and my food behind. I tried a little bit of lazana ( no meat) a lot of scrambled eggs, cup I noodle soup...now that I'm back home and with full power, I'd just like to know what most people were eating at 3 weeks our. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

I just started my week 3 diet. I've been having a lot of trouble finding things that don't make me sick. So, rather than go by this long list of do/do not that I got, I've really just been letting my body set the pace. If I want something, I try a little of it. If it doesn't make me want to vomit, on the "I can eat this" list it goes. I've had huge luck with turkey and beef jerkey, hot cocoa with Protein Powder, pudding cups, tea, propel grape (and ONLY grape >.<), green tea, and cheese of various types, fage 0% yogurt is amazing, too.

I've had good luck with beans; black, pinto and navy Beans with a pinch of low fat shredded cheese had really hit the spot.

Also, tilapia and lentil Soup.< /p>

I am 4 weeks out...I love Beans now as well, which is funny because I did not like them prior to surgery. I usually add a little lowfat sour cream, salsa verde and melted cheese it is so comforting to my stomach :)

I also really like shelly's ricotta bake, scrambled eggs with salsa/sour cream, buffalo chicken blended with blue cheese and ricotta, and pumpkin pie Protein shakes!

I am three weeks out and starting on soft foods. I am having the normal soft high Protein foods as everyone else. tuna, refried Beans, and cottage cheese are my staples. I am having "normal" food for dinner with my family. I just eat the protein basically and maybe a bit or two of a soft veggie.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
