Is it bad that I want to "lose" my drivers licence so I can take a picture 90 lbs lighter?

Well if it's supposed to *look* like you, and you no longer look like the person in your driver's licence photo, it's your civic duty to update the picture!

That's the best excuse I can come up with :D

yes it is bad, don't lose your license, get a picture now and then a new one when you drop more weight.

Wunderlust76. . . it would be a really good idea to keep it because it's a constant reminder of where you came from. Plus the comments are cool too. I never changed mine and am glad i didn't. . . love to hear the comments and the reminder of how i DONT ever want to look like again!

People that ask to see your license do not even look at the pics. They are looking for name and address to match. So disillusioning. I would dread going to the DMV to get a new license. Such a hassle. You look awesome and you know. So keep it up. ;)

California DMV is cheap. they renewed my license and refused to take a new picture a few years ago. Now I will go back in and say that they refused my credit card because the picture no longer looks like me. We'll see how THAT flies.

Just go get a new one. You'll have to pay for it but just do it. No biggie.

It happened to me once, someone said "That's not you.". Uh, yes...... But I was about 20kg heavier than in the photo..... Embarrassing.

I'm pretty sure that if you go in wanting to give the DMV money, they'll take your picture and renew you license as often as you want to pay for it.

I say go do it....and enjoy! Oh, and when they ask you why.....BRAG ABOUT YOUR SUCCESS!!

Congrats!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
