smhagood 5 Posted November 18, 2012 I was sleeved October 8th 2012 and I started out that day weighting 198. Today it has almost been 6 weeks. I have my 6 week post op appt. on Tuesday. I am worried that my dr. will be upset that I have only lost 17 pounds. I am down to 181. I am truly hungry (not in my head). Though I stick to my diet. I have a Protein Shake for Breakfast, 1/2 cup of cream of mushroom Soup for lunch, a string cheese for a snack and I try to eat a small amount of what my family is eating for dinner. Sometimes I can't eat that so I have another Protein shake instead. I am not drinking enough Water though I am trying. I am very busy as an elementary school teacher. Am I doing something wrong? Any ideas?

Do you have any restriction? Do you know what size French your surgeon used?
Phatmomof2 3 Posted November 18, 2012 I was sleeved October 3rd. I'm down 25 pounds plus 10 pounds from the pre-op diet. I had a couple of days of bad eating' date=' but I'm back on track! I actually gained about 2 pounds, so now I'm down to my 35 pound weight loss. My new favorite lunch is 3 oz deli turkey and one slice laughing cow light Swiss cheese. I bring that for lunch to work everyday. I made some crustless ham and cheese quiches that I bring for breakfast. I eat 2-4 of them. They are about 40 calories a piece. I'm aiming for 600 calories, but sometimes I don't make it. I do try though! I really feel like this is one of the best decisions I've ever made![/quote'] Hi Ashleytn, I was sleeved on October 15. I'm down 38lbs total. 9 pre-op & 29 post-op. When you say you had a couple days of bad eating what did you eat? Did you get sick? I'm having a hard time eating anything and cannot drink the Protein drinks/shakes. Your surgery was about 2 weeks before mine so I'm hoping I will be able to eat better soon. Did you ever have problems in the morning just feeling sick or still tired. It's like I have no energy. Do you have any tips for me? Thank you!

It will get easier! I promise!!
Happydash 3 Posted November 18, 2012 Sleeved 10/15 and able to nibble on just about anything. Finding a hard time like plenty others on getting in the liquids besides Protein Shakes. I'm down 24 since surgery and on pureed stage. Alot of clothes I have given away because I can't fit them anymore. My doctor advised me to put my scale up.. I was becoming obsessed with the pounds. Just going by how loose my clothes are and how I feel each day.

sleeve_sister 110 Posted November 18, 2012 Thank you! I'm happy with the loss but I don't want to disappoint my dr. What is a French? It's the instrument they use to size your sleeve. The smaller the tighter. Mine is a 40, some use a 36 or a 38 too. I was just curious because I had a rough time eating and just within the last week have been able to eat like I'm supposed to with the sleeve.
