Branhardin 2 Posted November 6, 2012 I am not sure if I am tired or if it is lack of motivation or if I am letting life get in the way. I am 10 months out...and it feels like my body is fighting me to exercise. I have no energy, no desire....and have no clue where it went. I use to sweat and bust my butt now it is like I barely can do 30 minutes. Please tell me this is a phase.... I am on B12, so I am getting that. How do I get my motivation back? Where did it go? I still have 40lbs to go......
IsB 209 Posted November 6, 2012 It's like everything else in life. You have to want it with all your heart. You've come to far to lose motivation now. You don't want to quit the race when the finish line is so close. Keep fighting. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
gmanbat 5,889 Posted November 6, 2012 For me variety is the key. I have a couple of core exercises, push-ups and knee bends, two sets of each, 2-3 times a week. Otherwise, I walk and run with kettle bells, bodyblade, walk through theme parks (I live in Florida), swim, bicycle with granddaughters, and anything else that seems fun. Moving is more fun the more the excess weight drops off. When you work off that last 40 you may be surprised about the difference it makes in the rest of your life. I have always dreamed about taking my old, experienced mind and put it in that body that I had when I was young. This is pretty close to it. P.S. My wife made a rare valid point, (kidding) lack of proper hydration can take the energy and motivation out of a person. Sometimes when you think you have it covered, you don't. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
Branhardin 2 Posted November 7, 2012 Maybe that is what it is..... Maybe i'm not drinking enough. Oh I have the heart, I didn't get big overnight. Just trying too figure out what had changed.... Where did the drive go? Where did the at any cost workout go? Maybe I am putting my life ahead of myself..... You know sometimes your mind gets you more worked up than anything.... 1 gmanbat reacted to this
ericgaults 1 Posted November 20, 2012 Have you tried doing exercise or any physical activity with a friend or partner, it works perfect for me that way, somehow it can give me motivation I have someone who do the activity with me. If we don't like to a thing, we need three times the energy, to force ourself to do it, to resist the force and finally to perform it, that way we are using too much energy and can somehow make us more tired. Kerinilla 40 Posted November 20, 2012 Are you feeling down as well? I felt like that when I was depressed. Depression sucks every bit of motivation you have. Many people don't realize they're depressed, they think they've just gotten into a rut.
