Tiffany Talbert Corbet 46 Posted November 7, 2012 My nurse prescribed a Scopolamine patch to apply to the back of my shoulder the night before. It's to help with nausea. Other than that, just liquid diet (specifically as they have listed....nothing else but what's on the list) and nothing to drink 12 hours before surgery. Procedure is 11/16 at noon. ShrinkyDinkMe22 376 Posted November 8, 2012 I have a bowel prep the day before with a clear liquid diet that day and nothing after midnight. Same as above but also have to do hibicleanse the night before and the morning of. It's some sort of antibacterial rinse. Apparently stains your skin blue
dexter 205 Posted November 8, 2012 Just bought my hibicleanse today. Blue?! Really?! Guess that explains why my surgeon said to only use it from neck to knees and not use it on my hair or face. I don't want to look like a smurf! 2 ShrinkyDinkMe22 and Lissa reacted to this
Lissa 2,631 Posted November 8, 2012 My hibicleanse was clear and I had to use it for 3 days pre-op, plus do a liquid diet for 3 weeks prior. It was So worth it... and I had to take Lovenox shots, plus get an IVC filter installed/removed due to blood clot issues prior to surgery.
