Sarah-lu1 25 Posted November 12, 2012 ya we all could use some behaviour modification id say. i am starting my pre op diet on Thursday and i was gonna start before then but i know my self that i would just give in half way through the day then be mad at my self for failing. i worry then when Thursday comes would have made it harder on my self to stick it out when i have to . so here's hoping that i can do this when the time comes 1 scarletskinnygirlinside reacted to this
Ms.AntiBand 2,984 Posted November 12, 2012 You can do it when the time comes. We all can! We are not happy being fat regardless as to what fat is to us, let it be 150 lbs on a 4 foot body or 400lbs on any body. It sucks and we all have to DO IT! My date is set in stone for Dec 14 th yippee!
AStephenson 159 Posted November 12, 2012 My surgery is scheduled for February and the closer it gets the more I find myself eating. So far I haven't gained any, but it's gotten to the point of where my husband has commented and gotten angry with me. Last night I ate three pieces of chocolate cake. Not one right after another mind you, but within two hours and he was glaring at me and demanding to know "what I was doing". I could only say I was eating it while I still could... JoJo57 63 Posted November 12, 2012 I'm doing it too. food and THE SURGERY are on my mind constantly. Argh. It scares me that maybe I won't be able to change my habits. Nothing tastes as good as I imagined it would be.
jillb5 21 Posted November 13, 2012 This forum is very reassuring because we are not alone. I am sure it's very common with the anticipation of such a life changing surgery. The fact is we are not going to be able to do this, for at least a while after our surgeries. It will be life changing and the beginning of a new chapter. 1 Sarah-lu1 reacted to this
jillb5 21 Posted November 14, 2012 Sarah-lu1 You didn't fail right, the band failed. food compulsion is not a conquer, fail dilemma. It's a curse, a constant fight, fight, fight. We have to eat. It's not cigarettes or alcohol that can just be stopped. You are fighting! Doing everything in your power to win the fight. But you have not Failed! 1 scarletskinnygirlinside reacted to this
