happytobehere 23 Posted November 4, 2012 I had a bad last two days with getting my Protein and Fluid in due to throwing a party for my father. But did manage to get in all my protein though. But I was drinking them alot faster than normal due to being in a hurry to get things done. But now, I don't feel that pain (twinge) in my stomach when I drink faster. Have I messed something up? I had my sleeve on Oct 23rd, so it hasn't been that long. Have I stretched something? Help.
jcjoy77 5 Posted November 4, 2012 I was sleeved oct 23, too! I found I can drink a lot more than the 4 oz an hour recommended by my nut also! I hear liquids go through faster than solids will when we get to that stage. I wouldn't keep pushing it, though. Good luck to you on your journey!
Donny 270 Posted November 4, 2012 I was sleeved the 22nd and I can drink a lot faster also. Last night I drank a 12oz shake in an hr. I can take gulps with no issues. The doc said it was fine but don't push it if I feel pain
vonego82 36 Posted November 4, 2012 don't stress out! usually within the first 7-8 days post-op your stomach won't be as numb and you will begin to be able to drink "normally". gulping and not to mention burping a lot! :-) hope you're enjoying your experience. RomanHEMPeror 14 Posted November 4, 2012 I was sleeved 10/25 and have noticed that I am able to consume liquids with greater ease for the past day or two. There isn't any pain or obscure discomfort so I don't think there is anything wrong. I am just going to attribute this to the stomach healing and becoming 'normal' once again. The only concern I have is that I do have a very high pain tolerance and was concerned if this is normal.
