I don't think you have stretched your pouch but be careful with vomitting all the time. That could lead to other complication. I couldn't eat tuna for the longest time. My NUT said that it could be because it was too dry or that I am just not ready for it. Normally, tuna is a great option for sleevers in the begin but not for me. I kept trying once a month until I could eat it...that took 7 months. I was unable to eat tuna for 7 months! I didn't throw up every time but I did get 2 bites in and started feeling nauseous so I would stop. It was very frustating because tuna is so easy to pack for lunch. I would try different types because some are more moist than others...like I couldn't and still can't eat tuna in olive oil but I can eat tuna in sunflower oil or Water. My NUTs advise was to keep trying, said it is not ususual to have an intolence to food I used to eat. She said if there was a food that didn't agree with me to wait a couple of weeks and try again.

Don't freak out. You have NOT stretched out your sleeve. It's ok. I'd strongly suggest that you do a search on here for this topic. It's a common one so you'll find lots of good answers. It takes a lot of work & long time overeating to stretch out a sleeve.

Your body is probably telling you that tuna isn't agreeing with you. That happens a lot. food we used to eat easily doesnt agree w us at first. Always try it again further down the road.

I'd suggest to just have fluids today to let your stomach settle and if you are allowed solids at this stage, start w something that you already know that your new sleeve will tolerate.

Good luck!

Scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, meats in a can(chicken, turkey, ham) You may want to puree them a little first. For some it is hard to chew well enough. Are you weighing/measuring your food? Do you take tiny bites and chew well(like a third of a teaspoon). Try using small cutlery. Try having Proteins only I have not eaten anything else and have had no issues at all.

I'm curious. You are 3weeks out, have you been cleared for solids? Are you mixing anything with the tuna, or eating plain. How much are you eating at one time.

It's pretty early still. Maybe your stomach just isn't ready for that kind of food. I stayed on shakes for a long time. A lot of people think we need to move to solid food as soon as possible but (in my opinion) there is nothing wrong with staying on shakes as long as you want. As long as you're getting the nutrition you need it doesn't matter the source. If your stomach can't do tuna then do something else. I have foods my stomach no longer tolerates for no real reason!! You will find things that work. Also, don't worry too much about stretching out your stomach . It is a big fear sleevers often have. We surely don't need to push it but at the end of the day we can't grow back 85 % of a stomach. So while you will be able to eat a bit more as time goes on, it will never be what it once was.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
