I had surgery September 13th. I weighed 204 this morning I'm still stuck at 174. I'm crabby. Feel frustrated. I don't eat enuff. I keep forgetting that I should not drink while I eat. I get my feelings hurt because no one seems to notice I've lost 30 lbs. even though I've gone from a size 18 to a size 12 I'm it because my best friend acts jealous and won't even call me any more. I don't enjoy food any more. This is just a bad day and it to shall pass. Thanks for listening to me whine!

Doesnt matter what other ppl notice or dont notice...its if you notice and how you feel about yourself. You look great. Comparing your before pic to your profile pic, there is a huge difference. All that matters is how you feel about yourself and all that goodness will shine out.

I am scheduled November 6th....scared as hell! but I have to do this to save my life.

God Bless

Kim

Thank you! I too did this for my health. Diabetes sleep apnea high blood pressure cholesterol . I'm 51 and I was following my moms foot steps and she died at 62. Needless to say I was scared. I'm off all my meds!

I just now went to my skinny cloths closet and more than half of them fit! I'm doing the snoopy dance now!

I've found woman in general are just plain mean when they see you have taken the steps to improve yourself. That's okay! Good luck with your surgery ill be watching for your post! Thanks again.

Yes keep positive and remember mostly everyone has this stalls also think maybe your body needed a little break 30 pounds in two months its alot to handle but eventually you will start loosing again. I'm sure people do notice your weight loss they are just jealous about it and don't want to tell you cause they don't want to make you feel good but as long as you see it in the scale and in your clothes thats all that matters and keep it up cause your doing great you even got off your meds:)))))))

Yes it does have its ups and downs and sometimes you just need other people to tell your that your doing great and reassure you that it will all be worth it at the end. As of for me I'm almost four weeks out still trying to figure stuff out and yes I've been in a stall for a week now but I just try to not think about it and when ever I have a concern I just go on this web site cause I really don't know anyone that had weight loss surgery that can help me and its great its help me stay positive and helps me better understand this journey. So lets keep focus and positive:)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
