thehappycat 91 Posted November 3, 2012 So I haven't been buying bras lately because they're too freaking expensive and I'm losing weight. So I eventually got down to 2. Both were the same size, but one was far too big while the other fit fine. This morning I'm getting dressed and I realize that the underwire in my good bra snapped and there's no repairing it. I go to Torrid to find a new bra. I was wearing 44DD before my surgery, three months and more than 30 lbs ago. The sales girl measures me at a 44D. I grab a 44D and a 44DD and try them on. Neither fit. Both are too small. Frustrated I grab a 44DDD and it fits! WTF? How did my boobs manage to go up a cup size when I've gone down two dress sizes? Has anyone had this happen to them? I am baffled. Also, I'm 27 and well beyond the age where I could possibly get a final growth spurt.
Mini Me Wanna~Be 56 Posted November 3, 2012 Not to burst your bubble but I have had this happen to me before and I figured out Bra's are made by different manufacturers just like other clothes we buy, how many times have you tried on a certain size within a certain brand and you always wear that size but if you go to a different brand that size you've been wearing no longer fits. Go back to your original brand and see what size works for ya. I hope what I said was understandable. 1 AnnaBanana reacted to this
saddie 21 Posted November 3, 2012 maybe see if you can just find the underwires, or take out of an old bra. i swear the bras are getting smaller every year

CCCross 31 Posted November 3, 2012 i need to see to judge. Haha...cracked me up. Boobs growing is something I know about. I was a 36f at 14 and had a reduction at 16. Every time I lose weight, it seems the weight navigates to the boobs, then jumps ship. The plastic surgeon said its uncommon but breasts can be mystical (which at 16 sounded uber creepy to me). KatieOkieDokie 171 Posted November 3, 2012 I think I would cry if I was losing weight and dress sizes (haven't been sleeved yet) and my boobs were getting bigger! I'm looking forward to getting rid of some of my girls! They hurt me! But like someone else mentioned brands do make a difference! So that might be something to look into! 1 abetterme4.2 reacted to this

thehappycat 91 Posted November 3, 2012 Nice try, fellas. But no. My boobs aren't that great to begin with. Anyway, the bras were the same brand. I really love Torrid clothing and I get most of my clothes from there. The only non-Torrid bra I have is a Maidenform bra which is a 44DD and is now too big. Unless something else happens, I'm just going to let it go. Bigger boobs aren't really a health issue.
